The great success of this year's edition of the Swiss International Holiday Exhibition, that has just ended, has given a great motivation and enthusiasm to the Organization, that it is already at work to prepare the next edition of the event, that will take place from the 30th October till the 2nd November, again at the Exhibition Centre of Lugano.
The whole work is aimed at offering a more targeted and high-quality service to the public and the exhibitors, by carrying out a series of smart improvements in order to meet the requirements of everyone in the most professional way possible.
According to this plan, a dedicated team is still analysing suggestions and advices collected during numerous surveys about people and exhibitors' approval, aimed at drawing on tips to use during the planning of the new edition.
Some new decisions have already been made; Indeed, after the experience matured during the International Workshop 2006 and the “Meeting Programme at the Exhibition” 2007, the Exhibition is ready to dedicate an entire day of the event to the Operators of the Sector and to B2B meetings. As a matter of fact, the 30th October, after the official opening characterized by cutting the red tape and welcoming the authorities, the Exhibition will open its doors only to Tour Operators, Travel Agents, Experts of the Sector, Travel Manager Coordinators, business Club and Cral, as well as the international and local Press of the whole Tourist sector.
The Organization truly believes in this important turning point that certainly signs the maturity and the growth of the event at European and International levels. The Operators who will take part in this B2B day not only come from the Italian cantons of Switzerland and Northern Italy! Thanks to the collaboration of accomplished experts of the sector, the Organization will take to Lugano qualified operators from inland Switzerland, Germany, Austria, and from other markets that can be interested in the type of exhibitors present at the exhibition.
The edition 2008 is oriented towards the development and improvement of the Folklore Programme, that this year has been proposed for the first time to the 66.000 visitors and has met a great approval. The Exhibition strongly believes in the potentialities of a tourist promotion which proposes, besides promotional and photographic materials, a concrete “experience” of local colours and fragrances. This is why for next year's edition an events area with a stage and technical equipment will be available, in order to give the exhibitors the chance to bring to Lugano a sample of their cultural heritage. And so we will wait for dances, bands, pieces of popular theatre...and among all the events scheduled, the destination that interprets the most involving and high-quality show will be elected.
But this won't be the only competition planned by the Organization...this year also the most beautiful and decorated stand will be elected. The exhibition space is an effective visiting card to present themselves to the numerous people who visit the Exhibition: if you decorate your stand with high-quality pictures, pieces of local craft, typical elements of your land, your exhibition space will be more alluring and interesting, and this will definitely increase the promotional success of your presence at the fair. In order to reward the effort and the commitment of our exhibitors, this year the Organization will elect and award the exhibition space that the public will prefer among all.
